Testing out a new Pentax KX film camera body at the last Japanese Car Spotting WA event was a painful experience to say the least. Light metering issues and intermittent showers really spiced things up. Nonetheless, it was all worth it looking back at these images. I opted to use one of my favourite go-to lenses, the Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4. Pushing Kodak ColorPlus 200 +1 stop to 400 was a bit of fun and I didn't know what to expect. Overall, I am really impressed with the results and surprisingly enjoy the muted rustic look. Great to see so many nice Hondas out and about! Coming into wet season, I thought it would be a good time to dig out these old snaps from back in September 2021 attending Classic Cars & Coffee at UWA. It was a rainy morning trying out some Ilford Delta 100 black & white film using my Pentax K1000. The grain is so fine that you could almost mistake these for digital images. Lots of contrast and sharp detail make this stock what I would describe as a pretty rich and punchy b&w film. The Autozam AZ-1 was definitely a highlight of the morning and it really pulled a crowd. Make sure to come and check out the JDM Prefecture at Classic Cars & Coffee tomorrow. Scroll to the end to see some colour! Follow Koi Collective on Instagram , Facebook , YouTube & TikTok
